2009 is now upon us and I still haven’t decide on all of my resolutions yet. Although, I am not sure if I would publish them even if I made a list. Then again, if I did publish them, the pressure would be on to actually keep them, so who knows.

I decided to stay home again this year. My cousin’s were going to come over for the midnight celebrations, so that was motivation for me to clean my house up and man! I cleaned like a mofo and got it done! It only took me all day, but it’s cool. I got it done! Now I just need to work on my bedroom! Ha!

I had a pretty good time though. I got completely drunk off of 2.5 glasses of wine and a glass of champagne. I am such a lightweight. I had a blast and it’s not like I had to drive anywhere too!

New Year’s Eve was pretty crazy though. People set off a ton of fireworks – again, but it was hard to see anything because there was no wind and it was humid as hell. That meant that when people set fireworks off, the smoke didn’t go anywhere. It just lingered and it got so bad that I couldn’t even see the bright lights of the gas station or drugstore down the hill. I should have taken some pictures earlier that night to show a comparison, but I didn’t. Oh well.

At least it rained at about 1am. That cleared most of the smoke away. Hurray!

New Year’s day itself was pretty mellow. At one point, really late, I decided to take the recycling down to the local bin and that was kind of creepy. There were a couple of people in the empty parking lot, so I was constantly looking over my shoulder to see if they were coming my way or not.

On a whim, I also decided to drive by the new Target store. Oooh, it’s so exciting! The store is going to open in about 3 months now. I didn’t take any pictures though. I forgot my camera and it was also raining like crazy when I got there. The Target in Honolulu is opening at the site of the original Costco warehouse in Salt Lake. I got so excited to see the large red balls out front. LOL! They also improved the parking lot that was there and made it a double decker lot too.

I thought we had Friday off, but both my boss and co-worker came in. Doh. I feel awful too because I emailed the part time person in our office and told her we had the day off when the boss wanted her to come in apparently. Double Doh.

I found out my co-worker was in because she called me around 10am and asked me if I was coming in. I wasn’t going to, but I figured I had to since both she and the boss were there. I didn’t go in until 1:30pm and actually stayed for about 4 or 5 hours. I still don’t feel like I got anything done though. I was going to go in on Saturday to get some things finished up before we get really busy again, but I got sucked into a marathon World of Warcraft session, so I didn’t. Oh well.

I am just so glad that I got a parking stall for a few months. I still don’t understand why my boss let the part timer who comes in 2 days a week keep her parking stall. I mean, hello! I am there everyday. Whatever.

I really should have gone shopping on Sunday, but I got up so late, I ended up not doing anything all day. Doh. I didn’t even hear my alarm go off. Ugh, now I am worried I won’t hear my alarm tomorrow and I need to go in really early tomorrow too.

Well, Happy New Year!

I got my new 8GB Nano Chromatic on Tuesday! Hurray! It’s pretty cool and it’s so freaking tiny! It’s about the size of 2 sticks of gum laid out next to each other. Really!

Part of my prize was that I also got to download I think all of the Cardio Coach workouts Coach Sean has created!!!! Wow!!! I had purchased several of them this past January, but this allowed me to complete my library! I am so happy about this! I can’t wait to hit the gym this weekend.

I really should take a picture of myself with my new gizmo, but I am so self conscious of my appearance, I am freaking out about it a little. I’ll see what I can do. I tried getting Rayne to model a little bit and she wasn’t too into it. I guess I need to catch her while she’s asleep.

I added a couple of comparison shots of the Nano to my other mp3 players. I also have an 80GB Zune, which pretty much rocks (however, the software does not), and a 2GB Zen Stone Plus. What really sets these 2 players apart from the iPods? Their prices and both of these devices have built in radios! Having a radio might not be that big of a deal to some people, but I do live in a state that gets hits by hurricanes every once in awhile and it’s nice to know that I have a couple of different radio sources available to me.

I’m just so excited about my Nano though. That thing is pretty stylin’. I just need to get a case for it though. I went to 3 stores yesterday and only Best Buy had some cases for the Nano 4G, but they weren’t the ones I was looking for. I guess I could have gone to one of the Apple stores, but I really hate going to the mall and the ones I know of are all located in malls.

I am also still thinking about getting a treadmill too. I mean, I have access to treadmills at the gym, but gong to the gym takes like 2 hours out of my day, whereas if I had a treadmill, I would obviously have no travel or locker room time – and that extra hour makes a big difference whenever I think about going to the gym. I have lots of thinking to do!
