My Nose Is Stuffy

I went to the beach again today. I am still feeling a little sick, but it was just such a beach day today that I just had to go and get into the water. The weather has been what I consider excellent beach weather for the last week actually – it’s been sunny in the afternoons with very little cloud cover over the shore. The water is still a bit chillier than would be ideal, but heck, I get over it as soon as I submerge my entire body.
I think I would feel better if I could get a decent night’s sleep, but it’s been difficult these last few days since our neighbors are having work done on their house and the workers have power tools – and are not afraid to use them. Ugggh, I think they were even using sledgehammers this morning. Yup, nothing like trying to sleep through random sledgehammer noises.
I was going to wait until it was a little bit more official, but I got a job offer on Monday to work at the legislature this January!!!! Wooot!!!! The senator called me Monday and I was kind of half asleep when I answered the phone – and feeling out of it because of my slight cold.
But, I am freaking a little because I called the office on Tuesday to set up an appointment to get all of my paperwork done with them and her assistant didn’t know I was hired. Neither did the office person I am supposed to coordinate with. Doh. The person I am coordinating with said she was a little busy and was going to call me back Tuesday and she never did! I should have followed up on Wednesday, but I didn’t – because I am freaking a little. Like I am wondering if I really did get the job offer call, or did I dream it? I checked my phone to double check that I really did receive a call and the number is there, so I am pretty sure the call happened.
I am just going to go down there tomorrow before I hit the beach again to get the paperwork. I just need to find my social security card now. Doh.
