So, this will probably be the last update for a little while.
My Mom and I fly out tonight in about 4 hours actually – which of course means we have to leave the house in 2 hours. Nope, not packed yet, but I have most of my stuff in a pile waiting to be put into the giant duffel.
I am still pretty exhausted although I am perking up a little now that I had some sushi.
I gotta say though – big fucking props to Northwest airlines for 1) having an available flight and 2) having fares at regular price – even for this last minute trip. I was worried that the tickets would be like $1000 each for a last minute flight, but the two tickets combine came out to about $550. Thank goodness.
We haven’t heard anything else since this afternoon, so I hope that is a good sign.

I don’t think I am going to be posting much over the next week or two.
We got a call this morning that my Grandma went into respiratory and I guess cardiac arrest early this morning. I say I guess cardiac arrest because they coded her this morning after the respiratory arrest. She is currently in ICU and they are going to do some kind of procedure on her to see if they can figure out what is going on.
Apparently her chest x-rays are getting worse every day and there is some kind of air bubble by one of her lungs that is getting progressively larger. She is also intubated right now.
Yes, I am freaking out a bit. I just don’t know what to do. We keep asking if we should come up now, but we keep getting told to hold off, wait another day and see. I just have this feeling that we are going to be getting “the call” later today and it will be too late for us to go there to say our goodbyes to her.
I don’t know. I just don’t know what to do.
My Mom and I are going to wait another couple of hours, but we are most likely going to be flying out tonight. I am so freaking tired though. I couldn’t sleep again last night and only got a couple of hours of sleep.
