Dance and Cord
October 24, 2006
Last night, I did Cardio Dance Slim Down from the Firm and then followed that up with the Firm resistance cord workout.
I am still a little confused about the Cardio Dance workout. I mean, it didn’t really get my heart rate up, I did sweat a bit, but I just sweat a lot when I workout anyways. I guess I didn’t hate it as much as I did the first time I did it. I think it could actually be a lot of fun if I was in better shape and could really get into the moves.
I did much better with the resistance cord workout this time too. Probably because I was a little more familiar with the transitions this time around.
After I did those 2 tapes, I contemplated doing the Firm Pilates workout again. Yikes, I must be going crazy.
Today, I just went on the treadmill downstairs for I don’t know how long, maybe 40 or 45 minutes. Just the good ol’ straight forward walking – slowly, on an incline. Like level 10 incline, (well okay, I was only on level 10 for a few minutes), but I did walk the rest of the way staying at level 5 or above. I also saw that the treadmill does that nifty heart rate monitor thing and what should be hanging next to the treadmill? Hmm? It was my first time using one of those and I kind of freaked when I saw my heart rate go up to 190, but then 10 seconds later it went down 80 bpm? WTF? I think it was okay for the rest of the time I was walking though. Now I just need to figure out that max heart rate thing for weight loss.
