Orchid

I am feeling a bit better now – I am still crying off and on, but it is getting better.  I take my Mom to work in the afternoons and I keep wanting to go walking along the beach near there, but it is too freaking hot when I drop her off to do that.

I don’t really have much to write now, but thought I would post a couple of pictures of this orchid in the yard.

Cardio Party Mix 2

I have been working out sporadically this past week, but just wasn’t up to writing about anything really.

Tonight, I did Cardio Party Mix 2 from Turbo Jam and it was a lot of fun. I was totally sweating by the time it was over and I didn’t get too out of breath even though I was trying to kick things up a notch. I sometimes wonder if I should get a heart rate monitor to see how many calories I am actually burning doing these.

Anonymous

I just wanted to say a Gawd Damn Big Thank You to my anonymous gift giver.  I have no idea who you are, hence the anonymous part, but thank you for thinking of me and sending me that book.  I really do appreciate it.  It’s nice knowing that someone out there is thinking of you, rooting for you I guess, and it definitely helps.

I can’t believe I am going to write this, but I actually have been feeling pretty suicidal this past week.  Last weekend was especially hard and I pretty much spent the entire weekend crying whenever I was alone.  I kept wanting to write or speak to Tom, but I just knew that no matter what we talked about, it would be painful and I thought that even though it might make me feel better, it would probably push me over the top if I did.

Time is supposed to help lessen the pain I suppose, but it still hurts – a lot.  I think about him going out with other women – sleeping with other women and it just upsets me so much.  I am sure that he is very happy without me.

How to install WordPress using Yahoo Web Hosting

This is something that has been bothering me for a little while so I thought I would put in a post about it in case anyone else is having this problem.

I currently use WordPress and I also have the Yahoo Web Hosting Starter Package. If you go to the WordPress web site and go to hosting, one of the hosting providers highlighted is Yahoo Web Hosting. The Yahoo Web Hosting Sarter package includes a WordPress blog if you choose to install it. However, WordPress is not listed as an available blog for installation in the Web Hosting control panel – it used to be hidden in the index of services available – but it’s not there anymore. Not to worry though, it is still possible to install with just a few clicks.

This link will take you to the WordPress blog installation page. (This link will only work if you are a subscribing to a Yahoo Web Hosting package – ie Starter, Standard or Professional. I do not believe that this is included in any of the Geocities web packages at this time.)

It was pretty easy to figure out. Once logged in, I went to the Create and Update Tab. Then I went to activate a Movable Type blog. The URL for that was https://safe.p2.webhosting.yahoo.com/pkg/movabletype/index.php?ssc=us1

All I did was delete movabletype and instead typed in wordpress and voila! The installation is pretty automatic and easy to customize.

Cardio Sculpt

I did Cardio Sculpt from the Firm’s Body Sculpting System 1 on Wednesday and also today.  I haven’t done this one in awhile and I really loved the workout!  I got this DVD awhile after I started doing Firm workouts last year and I think that by the time I got it, I was getting a little burned out on the Firm and it also didn’t seem as advanced as the other Firm workouts I was doing at the time.  I was a little reluctant to do it on Wednesday, but I didn’t want to do a Slim in 6 or Turbo Jam and I thought this would be a nice change.

It is just the right level for me right now.  I got a great full body workout without killing myself.  The workout is about 55 minutes long and it is a typical Firm aerobic weight training or AWT workout.  It starts off with the normal warm up and stretch and then it goes into about 30 minutes of weight training interspersed with brief cardio intervals – so it’s almost like a circuit workout.  My heart rate really got up there during this period – which was great.  After that, it goes into some shoulder work and chest work on the floor – followed by some floor work for the legs.  It ends with abs and a stretch.

As catty as this sounds, I think one reason why I didn’t like this workout too much before was because it was led by Allie Del Rio and she has a really bad hair style in this video.  Allie is a really cute girl and she is a freaking hair stylist by trade, but she had a half pony tail thing going on that just was not flattering to her face.  I like Allie as an instructor and I am also really glad that there were no tri stars or bunny hops in this video.
