Rough
Bah, it’s been a rough couple of days.
Tom and I went out to dinner Friday after work. We went to this relatively new place in the neighborhood called “Lemon Leaf Thai Cuisine.” It was really good. I was kind of full when we went there since I had some home from work and had a snack since I didn’t think we were going out – but that’s cool. The food was good – we had the Spring Rolls and they make theirs with quite a bit of basil, which was different – but in a good way. We also had a soup and a Crispy Basil dish with shrimp and tofu. I definitely want to try the place again. The only drawback to the place is that it is on a really busy street and I didn’t think there was parking, but there is a small lot next to the place.
We didn’t do much Saturday – however I did get Tom to go rake up the leaves in the front that had been there since, oh I don’t know – November. Man, we really need to work on the yard more. It needs more plants and mulch.
Tom also went to another conference on Sunday . It’s some kind of policy meeting about the direction of some agencies or something. He’ll be coming back tomorrow night and thankfully one of his co workers is going to give him a ride home from the airport so I don’t have to drive way the hell out there to pick him up.
I did my usual shopping spree thing after I dropped him off at the airport – Old Navy had a clearance sale – so I got 8 shirts and a pair of pants for $50 – not bad. I also got a couple of gifts for my mom and grandma for when I go to Hawaii on Friday.
I also picked up a copy of Underworld at Best Buy – the movie isn’t that great – but it’s very stylish and I just love female action heroes who kick ass.
